Founded in 1920 and consistently ranked as one of the best in the nation, the UNC School of Social Work offers a certificate program in Substance Abuse Studies which meets the requirements for the Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) credentials administered by the NC Substance Abuse Professional Certification Board. Located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the UNC School of Social Work strives to seek solutions to the challenges of poverty, mental health, violence and substance abuse.
